Ashley Talwar

Hello! My name is Ashley. I am very excited about participating in this TEFL program! I spent a little over a decade working as a pediatric home health nurse. It was a good use of time, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to help the children I was able to, but it was not my passion. I have always envisioned myself as a teacher. I love learning, and I love meeting other people from different cultures. Actually, I like it so much that I married a man from India! He and I are happy new parents to our son, Adam. I left my nursing career, and have been concentrating on raising my son as a full time stay at home mom. Now that I have 9 months under my belt as a new mom, I finally feel that I have enough control over my schedule to focus on obtaining my TEFL certificate. I hope to teach English online after completing the course, which would allow me to continue to be at home with my son, while also contributing toward the household income.
